SOLDER JET PRINTING BENEFITS ARE COMING TO YOU!

Jet printing is on the move. Are you?

With its new 2010 roadshow, SMT expert MYDATA is bringing a live demonstration of the benefits of solder jet printing – which is already helping more than 100 electronics manufacturers in the UK and Europe to enhance their profitability and competitive position – right to the door of prospective users.

The roadshow uses a vehicle equipped with a complete and fully operational SMT production line so that visitors can see the latest solder jet and pick-and-place technology in action. They are even invited to bring samples of their own circuit boards and CAD data, which the MYDATA team will use in the demonstrations.

Solder jet printing now seen as a mainstream technology that will, in many applications, soon supplant traditional silk-screen solder paste application, so it is more important than ever for progressive electronics manufacturers to learn about its benefits. By taking advantage of the MYDATA roadshow, they can do exactly that, without having to spend their valuable time travelling to a demonstration facility.

The roadshow presentations are always tailored to meet the needs of those who are attending, but typical benefits that will be demonstrated include jetting paste into cavities, solving problems relating to package-on-package, pin-in-paste and QFN components, and reducing costs by eliminating the need for stencils.

Those attending the roadshows will also see how working with a completely software driven SMT line allows manufacturers to take an order in the morning and deliver finished boards the same afternoon, thereby gaining a decisive advantage over their competitors.

In addition to the revolutionary MY500 solder jet printer, the MYDATA roadshow vehicle is also equipped with the latest MY100 DX pick-and-place machine (34.000cph). This combines high throughput with outstanding placement precision and exceptionally fast product changeover, making it an ideal choice for today’s high-mix production environment. A vapour-phase facility completes the vehicle’s installation, and allows the boards to be soldered.
