Techcon Systems, a leading provider of fluid and adhesive dispensing systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Jennings as Technical Sales Representative. Ian, formerly responsible for Technical Support at Techcon, has been promoted to the new position as part of the company’s strategy to expand their European sales operation.
Ian will collaborate with Steve Collier, European Sales Manager, and will be responsible for expanding Techcon Systems’ range of consumable products in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Benelux. The company’s product range includes industrial dispensing syringes, cartridges and fluid dispensing tips as well as automated fluid dispensing solutions including adhesive, liquid & epoxy dispenser systems, precision valves and controllers.
Steve Collier comments, “As part of our continued investment in the European market, Ian brings extensive knowledge of the dispensing business that will help us expand the Techcon brand further. We aim to increase our market share in 2010 and Ian will play a vital role in strengthening our sales across Europe.”“
Commenting on his appointment, Ian Jennings said, “I am really looking forward to the new role, the challenges it will bring and meeting our customers. Part of my remit is to increase sales of the 700 series precision syringe barrel, which is an interesting opportunity as many manufacturers have similar dispensing products that have recently been discontinued.”
Ian began his career at Techcon Systems back in 1996 as a quality controller and was later promoted to the service department. Following a 3 year course in Electronics Servicing, Ian was responsible for setting up a bespoke valve repair service for a high profile client and it was here that Ian was introduced to Technical Support.
