XSiL Ltd. announced today its appointment of Terry Hannon to the position of Executive Vice President effective December 17th 2007. Terry will be based in Silicon Valley, California.

Terry will be responsible for the U.S. and Europe geographies as well as being a key contributor to the development of corporate strategy for growth. Terry brings with him extensive knowledge and experience in lasers and optics.
He joins XSiL from Coherent Inc. He most recently served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Solid-State-Laser Business Unit. where he delivered consistent revenue and profit growth as well as strategic product development. Terry also brings to XSiL his ability to develop strategic partnerships with both suppliers and customers as demonstrated by his ability to do so with leading companies in the Microelectronics and Flat Panel Display industries while at Coherent Inc..
Terry received his Honours Degree in Physics and his Masters Degree in Optoelectronics from Queen's University, Belfast and is currently completing his MBA at Wharton.
