Virtual Industries Introduces New Vacuum-Tweezer Tool

Virtual Industries, Inc., a leading supplier of manual vacuum handling solutions, introduces the self-contained, manually operated V8901-HLM-B Vacuum-Tweezer for handling SMD packages.

Virtual PEN-VACThis PEN-VAC® vacuum tweezer is sold with six cups and probes. Cup sizes are 1/4" (6.35 mm), 3/8" (9.53 mm) and 1/2" (12.7 mm). The tool comes with two of each of the cups, one on a straight probe and the other on a bent probe.

The tool is made of all ESD-safe materials, and has no hoses to get in the way or batteries to replace. The main body tube is machined aircraft aluminum.

Operation is simple:

1. Place a pick-up tip slightly smaller than the part on the front of the tool.
2. Depress the button on the side of the tube to expel air from the tool.
3. Place the cup flatly on the part to be picked up.
4. Releasing the button now draws air back into the tool, creating suction. The part is now firmly grasped by the suction.
5. Move the part to the desired position and push the button a second time to release the part.

Prices start at US$62.30 with quantity breaks available.
