A Web Shop for European customers of Royal Philips Electronics subsidiary Assembléon goes live today – in parallel with a successful similar service for American customers set up in 2009. The Web Shop, which was first demonstrated at SMT Hybrid & Packaging in Nurnberg in June, allows customers to order original Assembléon parts online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
“The shop will allow our customers to maintain the levels they need of high-quality spare parts, accessories and consumables” said Ton Cornelissen, General Manager for Sales in Europe. “It gives online access to everything companies need to keep their lines working – including nozzles, feeders and other key parts. Customers just select the items they need, apply their discounts and check the total price on-line.“
After registering, customers see all the relevant documentation for their equipment. A dedicated spare part manual helps them to select the correct parts, with the Web Shop immediately showing where legacy items have been replaced by newer ones.
Assembléon is a world leader in surface-mount pick & place solutions for the electronics industry. A 100% subsidiary of Royal Philips Electronics, the company designs and manufactures equipment for the global market. Based in Veldhoven, The Netherlands, Assembléon has an extensive global sales and support network.
