Polyonics to Exhibit RoHS/WEEE and REACH Compliant Materials at SMTA International 2008

A leader in harsh environmental labels and product marking for industrial identification, Polyonics Inc. announces that it will display its full line of THERMOGARD® and TRIBOGARD® RoHS/WEEE compliant thermal transfer printable barcode label materials in booth 607 at the upcoming SMTA International exhibition and conference, scheduled to take place August 19-20, 2008 in Orlando, FL.

All of Polyonics materials are compliant with RoHS/WEEE. Polyonics is also keeping up with the new REACH legislation as it unfolds and offers many compliant materials in respect to suspect chemicals already slated to be on “The List” when it is published next year.

THERMOGARD® and TRIBOGARD® label materials are designed for circuit board and related electronic component marking in the electronics industry. All of these materials withstand the standard PCB manufacturing processes and the majority withstands the higher temperatures of lead-free manufacturing, as well as the new, more aggressive, fluxes, cleaners, and saponifiers used in the electronics manufacturing process. Polyimides are available in white and a spectrum of RoHS compliant colors.

NEW for this show will be Polyonics’ TRIBOGARDS® static dissipative (ESD resistant) white polyimide for RoHS applications, as well as static dissipative polyimides in a spectrum of colors.
