The table-top exhibition is limited to 30 exhibitors, ensuring that exhibitors will have the chance to meet senior decision makers and influencers in the region.
Romania was selected to host Cemconex because it is one of Europe’s fastest growing emerging markets. In recent years the country’s electronics industry has displayed upward trends both in sales volume and value and with its recent inclusion into the European Union, Romania has become the destination of choice for many tier one and tier two manufacturers.
Cemconex will be held in Timisoara, a university city located in north-west Romania, close to the Hungarian border. The area is now globally recognised as a hot-spot for the electronics manufacturing industry with numerous multinationals such as Flextronics, Honeywell, Nokia and Alcatel locating to the region.
One of the early exhibitor bookings was made by ETEK, suppliers to the European Electronics Industry. Mike Nelson, Managing Director, comments:
“Despite the great potential that Romania, and specifically Timisoara, holds for the electronics manufacturing industry, there are relatively few opportunities to access this market. We are therefore excited about taking ETEK to Cemconex as it will enable us to network with the high concentration of major OEMs and CEMs that are located in the region.”
Cemconex will bring together industry experts to enable them to share knowledge and expertise and explore potential business opportunities in the region.
