The DVD covers documentation, subassemblies and components, tools, handling, safety issues and step-by-step process details for building a typical electronic product.
Box build is the electromechanical assembly process to fabricate the enclosure, or chassis, into the final electronic product, or system, that is shipped to the customer. It consists of installing subassemblies and components, routing cabling and attaching wire harnesses.
The DVD includes optional English subtitles for hearing-impaired and ESL students and comes with a Leader’s Guide, review questions and IPC training certificates for students who pass the final examination. ”We are excited to be able to offer this comprehensive introduction and training program on box build,” said Joel Kimmel, producer, IPC media training. ”IPC is dedicated to providing educational and training resources to those in the interconnect industry who need them.
