ACE Production Technologies, a designer and builder of simple, affordable selective soldering, lead tinning, and related systems, will be an important participant, for the 2nd year in a row, in the EASi-LINE at the IPC Midwest trade exposition, to be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL., September 28-30.
The EASi LINE is a functioning electronics assembly line, operating on the show floor, courtesy of the Electronics Assembly Suppliers Initiative (EASi). ACE will be performing selective soldering with their KISS-104 system, fully configured with internal pre-heater, spray and drop-jet fluxing systems. In addition, ACE will be exhibiting and demonstrating their newest release of KISS-Ware 2.0 programming software, the high value/low cost KISS-101B Selective Soldering System, and the popular KISS-103 Selective Soldering machine, on display in Booth #7725.
Operating in the line, The SMEMA-compatible and fully programmable KISS 104 uses ACE’s proven ‘traveling mini–solder wave. This system overcomes the limitations of operator-dependent soldering with a truly flexible molten solder delivery system. It is designed to deliver repeatable soldering performance without the expense of robotic selective soldering machines. The KISS 104 provides a generous 26" x 19" work area that does not require any special user intervention or additional setup steps. With the 104, the user can place more boards in the work area and take advantage of the Step-and-Repeat feature of the system’s unique operating program and automated capability as an in-line or stand-alone system.
